On the formation of the Le Soken Chapter, consecrated on 2nd February 1946, a number of bespoke Past First Principal Jewels were commissioned in silver gilt.
Further jewels have been struck to a similar design to the originals and the tradition is for these to be passed back to the Chapter when the recipient receives Provincial honours. This particular jewel, still in the original presentation case, was presented to E.Comp. Percy Albert Morfey at the end of his term as the second First Principal of the Chapter in 1947. E.Comp. Morfey was the first Second Principal of the Chapter at it's consecration.
This jewel was found on eBay and presented to the Chapter by E.Comps. Nick Lee and Brian Foulkes at a Combined Chapter meeting on 8th October 2002.
